advice

im up to page 80 on my 5th book!!!!!!!! im thinking about making this one really long. i was grounded last night and couldn't write,=.( my dragon book is on hold, but i might write some on it this afternoon. i saw the cousins this weekend[see twin wolf blog] and that sparked some inspiration. i really think my dream will come true, and if your a young author heres some advice-

giving up is pointless, you accomplish nothing so why not at least try to go on till the end?

listen to angry/up beat/emotional songs to help you keep going. us angry songs when your in a fighting scene or when the main character is stuck in a situation. us up beat when your describing a happy moment or just starting or when you just need a quick bust. use emotional when a main character dies or your describing a hard past.

find other people with your interest or people that get your brain working and your hand writing, people who help give you ideas.

find a good place to write, the outdoors usually helps with me but if you only write on the computer pretend your actually in the book, make it an adventure.

take a break every once in a while or if your writing two books at once switch and write the other. although i recommended only writing one book/book series at a time. the more attention you give it the better.

if you think you just absolutely can not take a break or you feel you NEED to write remind yourself that you can overcome this writing block and set a goal to still write when you feel down.

when you are discouraged about your writing show it to someone you trust and ask them for their honest opinion or just read it over yourself. also try comparing it to other books in that category.

if you are planning on making several book/book series make your main character different-dont always make them do what the other in another book would do or what you would do-its good to make your books unpredictable.

this may sound weird but when i read manga or watch anime i feel determined to write, if your into that stuff try it.

when beginning a book its always going to feel weird, you need to get used to the characters, even in book series. just keep going, it will get better at about page 20 or so.

make the people in your book able to relate to the readers, make them feel like their in the book.

make sure you describe the surroundings and how the characters feel.make the book exciting and a real good page-turner.

surprise endings are good too.

i will back with more advice tomorow. till then-see ya!
